Mindfulness is practicing a certain way of giving attention; open and curious of every experience, in a friendly and non-judgemental way.

During this training you will learn how to cope with stress, emotions, pain and disease in a better way. All of these problems can have a negative effect on your life, your personal relationships or your work, and may even lead to (long term) absence through illness.

By paying attention in daily life you will prevent stress, agitation and dissatisfaction from increasing too much. It can lead to better decision-making and will improve the way you respond to difficult situations. By enhancing your awareness for your body, thoughts and feelings, you will be able to take more control over your own life.

Content of the training Mindfulness

The training consists of a 8 weekly group meeting of 2.5 hours each. Group participation is limited to 15 participants.

The training consists of the following elements:

  • Exercises to train attention and concentration
  • Physical exercises (Yoga)
  • Implementation in daily life
  • Information on awareness, complaints and stress

The participants will receive a work-book and a CD with mindfulness exercises to practice at home on a daily basis. This ’homework’ is essential in obtaining the best results possible from this training. You can compare learning to be Mindful to learning to play a musical instrument; by practicing frequently, you develop better skills.
