How does it work? 

In our approach we counsel the absentee in order to reduce the duration of absenteeism to a minimum and in doing so limiting the costs to the company. Our guidance in cases of sickness absenteeism it targeted to explore possible links between absenteeism and circumstances in the workplace and reporting to the management thereon.The Medwork approach will reduce your absenteeism numbers, without compromising the labor relationship between the employer and employee.

Medwork greatly supports each company’s aim to create and maintain a healthy, safe, happy and positively motivated workforce, by minimizing unnecessary absences, stress and work related illnesses. 

Procedures in place 

Absenteeism procedures and working agreements provide a clear understanding to all parties about what are the absentees’ rights and responsabilities, who will evaluate the claim for absenteeism and who can enforce by applying sanctions if an employee does not comply with company procedures. 

Advice for employer and employee 

Management of the company will be provided by Medwork with an evalaution of an absenteeism claim. Medwork will not disclose any personal, medical information, as this is private matter between doctor and client. Medwork will however report on an employees’ ability to perform his or her duties. At the workplace it remains the responsability of the department of human resources to enforce the outcome of an evaluation given by one of Medwork’s company doctors.The employees are offered a consult with a specialized Occupational Health Physician during which they can express themselves in a professional and confidential setting.
