Do you want to live or work on Aruba?
If you are looking to live or work in the Caribbean, then you will have to follow certain legal procedures and in most cases this includes a medical examination. On Aruba rules and regulations are set forth by the Department of Integration Management and Admission of Foreigners, or DIMAS in short.
Medical examinations performed as a requirement for the Department of Integration Management and Admission of Foreigners (DIMAS).
The DIMAS department will verify if foreigners comply with the rules and regulations for admission in Aruba. One of the requirements for a work- and/or residence permit is that it is excluded that one has a chronical and/or contaminious desease.
Within 10 days of arrival in Aruba one needs to direct himself to the Dienst Besmettelijke Ziekten (DBZ) with a letter stating that a medical checkup has been performed. At Medwork we execute these checkups which are recognized by the DBZ. The DBZ is the last contact in the advice with relation to admission. This department gives advice about the medical condition of the applicant and if the applicant can be admitted without any danger for the general interest. This is performed during the first request. It is regulated in the law of the LTUV (National Ordinance on Admission and Expulsion Removal) that a request should be answered by DIMAS within 12 weeks.
Besides the medical examination performed at Medwork, other medical tests at the hospital may be required depending on the originating country. Medwork has the required documents and can instruct the applicant accordingly.
Please contact Medwork for an appointment. A valid ID is required during the consult.
