Sint Maarten covers the Southern 40% of this divided Island and shares its border with the French Saint Martin. It is the only place where France borders The Netherlands. This popular cruise-ship destination known for its luscious green hillsides, beautiful desolate beaches and excellent food, was struck by a devastating blow when hurricane Irma wreaked its havoc in 2017. With most of the island's infrastructure demolished, businesses were forced to shut down.
Although still recovering from the immense damages caused by Irma, proud Sint Maarten Is back on its feet and most businesses are up and running again, ready to accommodate the returning tourists and offer them an unforgettable Caribbean experience.
