When is a driving-licence examination necessary?
Everybody who applies for a driving-licence for the first time, or anyone who wants to renew an existing one, will need to take a medical examination. Driving-licence examination services are delivered by an Occupational Health service and performed by, or under direct supervision, of an Occupational Health Physician.
What will be examined?
As part of the medical examination for a driving-licence, the physician will examine the responsiveness (reflexes) and eyesight of the (professional) driver. Furthermore the examining physician will examine for other risk factors and filling out a basic medical questionnaire is part of the driving-licence medical examination.
What do you need to bring to the examination?
A valid Identification Document is necessary. If applicable glasses and/or hearing aid need to be brought along as well.
